know is not here, please feel free to call the office at 813-272-2345
How much will this cost me?

Sorry, there is no easy answer to that. In order to
determine an appropriate amount for an initial retainer
for your case the attorney must conduct an initial
consultation to speak with you about your case.

Our initial consultation fee is $100 for an in-depth
initial consultation in our Downtown Tampa office that
usually lasts approximately one hour. This is an
extensive consultation where the attorney speaks with
you about the background in your case, and the law in
the State of Florida with regard to Divorce or Family
Law and discusses the legal options available to you.

We would request that consultations take place in our
downtown Tampa office, unless you do not live in
Hillsborough county, and in those circumstances we
will conduct the consultation over the phone.

If you reside out of Hillsborough county and wish to
have an in-person consultation with William S. Foley,
please contact the office regarding the details of our
out-of-county initial consultations.

If you decide that retaining William S. Foley, P.A. is
right for you, an initial retainer fee will be quoted (the
fee will be determined at the time of the initial
consultation) which will secure your legal
representation and initiate the proceeding after the
retainer process is completed.
How do I schedule an appointment?

Please call the office today at 813-272-2345 and ask to
speak with Brandie Gilmore.

Brandie Gilmore is William S. Foley's paralegal and the
office manager. She will schedule you with an
appointment to speak with Tampa divorce and family
lawyer William S. Foley about your divorce or family
law issue. We are located in downtown tampa in the
Barristers' Building and we would request you show
up at least ten minutes early to your appointment to fill
out any necessary paperwork prior to the consultation
with William S. Foley.
You are located in Downtown? Where am I going
to park?

There are parking meters all around the building (some
as low as $0.25 for two hours and some are $1.50 per
hour) and a parking lot directly in back of the building
that charges $3.00 per day for parking. There is
another parking lot that is $1.50 per day for parking
that is close to the office as well. Please call the office
and ask the Office's office manager, Brandie Gilmore
for any parking related questions. The Office also has
reserved parking spots available for clients, please
speak to the Office about the location and availability.
OK. I made it to the building and parked. Now
how do I find the office?

When you park in the back of the barristers' building,
on the corner of Washington and Morgan streets,
either in the parking lot or metered parking, there is a
back entrance to the building.

Look for the maroon overhang in the back of the
building which says 'Barristers' building'. When you
walk into this back entrance you will see an elevator
which you will take up to the third floor. We are in
suite 304 near the end of the hallway.
I live out of state, can you still help me? How
about out of Hillsborough county?

Absolutely! William S. Foley, P.A. can help you with
Florida cases, as the Office only practices in Florida.
Therefore, if you have a Florida Divorce or Family
Law case then the Office has the ability to assist you
even though you may be out of state. We use
telephonic contact, email, the internet, fax
communication and at times, if the Court approves,
telephonic appearances in Court, for clients
out-of-state.

Additionally, William S. Foley is a Divorce Attorney
that practices in courts around the west coast of
Florida and can represent you in the surrounding
counties on the Gulf coast. Please be aware some
counties may include additional travel fees needed to
travel longer distances. However, the Office is able to
help you even if you can't make it to our downtown
Tampa office.

Give us a call today to set up a telephonic initial
consultation if you live outside of Hillsborough County.
How long do I have to live in Florida to get a
divorce?

A person must reside in the state of Florida for six
months prior to being able to file a dissolution of
marriage proceeding in Florida. Please contact a
Tampa Divorce Attorney at William S. Foley, P.A. to
discuss your specific situation today.
How can I afford an attorney if I am a stay at
home mom or dad?

If you are unable to afford the cost of legal
representation because your spouse was the marital
partner providing the income, options are available,
such as constructing the marital settlement agreement
to direct one spouse to pay the other spouse's
attorney's fees. Please speak to the Office about the
possibility of a temporary relief hearing or what the
rules are regarding attorney’s fees in the State of
Florida.

In Hillsborough county, the parties normally mediate
prior to a temporary relief hearing being conducted.
Therefore it is important to speak to your attorney
very early on in the case if a Temporary Relief hearing
is necessary as it can take some time to get on the
Court's calendar for a hearing. Call a Tampa Family
lawyer today at William S. Foley, P.A. to discuss
temporary relief and attorney's fees options that may
be available.

How long does a divorce take?

There are a number of factors that dictate how long a
divorce matter will take. The parties for instance are a
major factor, that is, if the parties agree on a number
of issues it will take much less time rather than if the
case is contested on all issues. The Court’s calendar
and availability are another issue for when the Court
can hear your case. Depending on the complexity of
each individual's case this time frame may vary, but
our Office works to ensure that client's divorces are
completed with efficiency.

Call a Tampa Divorce attorney today to discuss your
divorce questions.
